Blue Planet Décor is a creative company specialising in Interior Design and the decorating of guest lodges, private homes, small hotels, and corporate offices. The company also supplies items to the hotel and hospitality industry, as well as unique furniture items to the interior decorating industry.
Previous projects include the decorating of a Hotel in Saurimo, Angola; the revamp of Menlyn Guest Lodge in Pretoria; the redesign of interior and aesthetic finishes of a large Pretoria based Church; the decorating of various private homes. They are a company who has passion for who they are and what they do. Their talent always delivers, and they strive for re-invention, innovation and change. They and are skilled in restaurant revamps and in Interior 3D Design and Layout of Corporate office suites and boardrooms.
The owner and sole director of the company, Cher Gauche, a qualified textile designer, has owned a knitwear manufacturing business, as well as a brand design and advertising agency; hence her experience in a wide array of design services ranging from apparel, commercial printing through to Interior Decorating.

We have named these heavenly plant hangers Meraki’s as this stems from doing something with total love, and pure soul. We do hope that we can leave a little piece of Love into your space, always Inspiring you to be Creative and Love Nature whether indoors or out. Natural looking plants were also placed for green impact and effect, always creating a balance in the workspace. We gave them a contemporary yet cosy setting, by the use of warm wood textures and robust iron and leather touches to create a warm and welcoming experience for their visitors. The brief was to Inspire their Space and create a serious, yet creative environment. We wanted to achieve a smart, Yin Yang effect in the entrance, balancing both masculine and feminine attributes- By the use of the geometric design fabric and floor coverings, in bold masculine colours we contrasted and complimented the dark, bringing in light and a feminine aspect to the space by means of white orchids and gentle blues in textile and glass wear. The Boardroom visuals were created by their advertising agency and adapted by us to fit into their spaces. Being able to take the client’s existing branding, and knowing where to adapt, for example to one colour for the FUNCTIONALITY of the sandblast look on the windows and where to go wild with colour in the next to complete the finished look and make a STATEMENT. This is an important and vital aspect in Interior Design. The KRYPTOS Boardroom table adapts into a pool table, enabling the staff and their clients to enjoy another type of challenge after the grueling sessions of cyber-crime fighting. The Designer White Boards are functional, yet racy in that they all announce the names of the various boardrooms, along with icons depicting the IT world which they so belong. Studio 3 Architects appointed Blue Planet Décor to come up with a concept and Interior Design and installation of GROOT FM RADIO station in their new offices situated at the Bridge Office Development Building 3 in Lynnwood, Pretoria. We introduced natural elements, like Pebbles, Cactus, aloes, gemsbok and kudu’s in wood form as sculptural items. We utilised Sepia toned old photos of musical instruments and electronic devises for The vibe Walls as modern elements. The mood board shows tiles, floor treatments and wallpaper as tree textures, ect. Architectural aspects, such as a Spiral Staircase and Swivel entrance door and street poles for open plan office desks are also cool features. We at Blue Planet always strive to be transparent with our clients and help them feel involved in every step of our design process.
