Bridge Ministries is an interdenominational ministry.

An interdenominational missionary organization focusing on helping believers to learn to witness for Christ in a way with which they are comfortable. Bridge Ministries is an interdenominational Christian ministry organization. We believe that there is only one triune God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the inspired inerrant word of God which provides the guidelines for Christian living, salvation and self revelation of the Living God. Salvation and eternal life with God can only be obtained by receiving Christ through prayer, confession of sin and confessing Him as Saviour. We hold that: Eternal life in the presence of God is a free gift of grace and cannot be earned. He loves all people and wants them to enter His Kingdom. To those who refuse to be reconciled with Him through receiving Christ, he metes out eternal punishment and damnation because He is also just. Man is in essence imperfect and evil in God’s sight and merits only eternal damnation. However, God is LOVE and has made a plan so that those who wish can be saved from this damnation. God’s plan was to punish Christ on the cross for all sin man has done and is a gift to those who want it. This gift needs to be accepted before eternal life and a personal relationship with God can become a reality. Receiving Christ results in our becoming children of God. Sins will be forgiven if God’s children confess them and renounce them. Faith is required to receive Christ and the person who receives Him must do so in faith, believing what the Bible says and believing God’s power and guidance in his or her life. Water baptism, baptism in the Holy Spirit and communion are sensitive issues because of differences among churches, and so these are only discussed after consultation with leaders of churches and upon request with great sensitivity to the conviction of the audience. However, the ministry holds the following point of view: Water baptism is a voluntary act of obedience after one has received Christ. Baptism should be done (by emersion where possible) in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Baptism with the Holy Spirit follows after receiving Christ and is the empowerment and equipping of the believer for his or her calling (Acts 1:8). Spiritual growth: Spiritual growth involves growing in a personal relationship with God in order to be able to please and glorify Him more and more and is a fourfold simultaneous process: Prayer, Bible study, fellowship of believers and witnessing. Every Christian has the obligation and the right to share the love of God with all people by firstly his own actions and life and secondly by the words spoken. Each Christian is obligated to carry out the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-19, but not necessarily as evangelist. Each person has received his/her own personal gifts and talents so that he/she can testify to God’s saving grace in a way that is comfortable to him or her.
