In early July 2020, we eventually commenced with the process of getting what we needed to get cracking, such as ordering equipment and bottles, label designs, tasting area décor and ordering of raw materials.And finally, in November 2020, the long-awaited distillery installation and commissioning started, and was completed in mid-January 2021.Now we are ready to prepare and manufacture the first products.We then decided to join our efforts and expertise, and become “one” entity in the area rather than duplicate the enormous effort and cost of the process. 
AND SO, EARTHBOUND DISTILLERY WAS BORNThus, the idea was to form a formidable team where “One plus One is Greater than Two.” In the end, the clients and consumers get the real benefit of this formation and the concept.At Earthbound Distillery, we are a small team of passionate distillers, truly owner-operated.

Using traditional distilling techniques and the latest innovations, we’ve perfected the process to create pure quality craft spirits for our loyal customers.

With a concept of sourcing, manufacturing and marketing products for human consumption, we realised that there are an extremely strong connection and earthly influence from which we intimately co-exist.

We source and use products which are produced by the earth, such as water, botanicals, bottles etc and as such we cannot separate ourselves or our business from the Earth.

We strongly believe in recycling and we produce as little solid waste as possible, minimizing the negative impact in terms of pollution and carbon footprint.

Sustainability inspires us to strive for excellence by adding new techniques and fresh passion.

Quality, integrity, innovation and creativity is at the heart of everything we do and is expressed through every facet of our Earthbound brand.

Thus our roots are strongly connected to Mother Earth!

TWO INDIVIDUALS WITH ONE COMMON GOAL...We decided to attend training in the craft of distilling. Once certified, each embarked on the journey to establish commercial micro-distilleries in the Pretoria/Centurion area. One started the process from the angle of obtaining suitable premises, whilst the other started developing suitable and marketable products. Due to the small world we live in, our paths crossed whilst we were involved with all the legalities of setting up a distillery.

When we got together, we already had suitable premises, and all other processes were mostly in progress. The alterations within the building were work in progress and far advanced. Product development was well underway, and the process of sizing the capacity of manufacture and ordering of equipment was next. Then we experienced the huge impact of Covid-19, which delayed the entire process and journey by at least seven months.
