You can find us on Long Street in Cape Town, Fourways in Johannesburg and now also in Centurion, Pretoria. Our emphasis is the curation of craft beers and a service standard that sets the trend in the hospitality industry. Our beer is served by the most knowledgeable and passionate staff in the industry, and our food is crafted by an internationally experienced kitchen team specifically to compliment our large beer variety. Africa’s biggest variety of beers with over 25 taps and 99 bottles on the wall. We have paired all our food items with beer and have introduced a Beer & Cheese Pairing and Chocolate and Beer experience to our new menu. We are very excited about our journey into brew food and look forward to you joining us soon. Without our rich tapestry of staff from across the broad Southern African, spectrum we would not be the bustling yellow house of Beer. We are eternally grateful for the hard work and industry that our humans afford us and in celebration, we held two recent Staff Appreciation Days. We are very proud of our staff achievements and look forward to seeing them develop further in The Beer Revolution is growing and Beerhouse is expanding to Centurion. Its beverage offering is spearheaded by its 99 bottles of beer on the wall, 30 taps including local and international beers and non-beer offerings like gin & tonic, ice tea and cold brew coffee on tap. Intuitive navigational tools that reside in Beerhouse’s beautifully constructed menus empower guest with the ability to choose a beer for themselves based on their preferences. Beerhouse is committed to being a tasting room for the burgeoning beer industry supporting local micro-breweries and giving them a podium on which to shine. Hand crafted food from around the globe that takes into consideration traditional beer food and items that push the taste envelopes. A unique and interesting snack menu allows hungry beer drinkers to indulge in a great variety of beer friendly fare including pork crackling, edamame beans, oepsies (Beer glazed bacon on a stick) and bitterballen. We will sell Vedett beer at cost price and every bottle will be collected clean and up-cycled and arranged into a spectacular light feature. Beer represents 77.8% of total liquor volumes in South Africa, with a volume increase of 45 million litres and a total value increase of R3,89 billion in the 2015 alone. So initially my light bulb moment was to create some kind of meme which authentically portrays women in beer. SABMiller are running a parallel campaign to celebrate their wonderful women in beer and Beerhouse will have an in store promotion with both beers brewed specifically for the day being on tap for free! The campaign will address common stereotypes faced by women within the industry as well as those who just love having a beer! It was lovely to see women of all ages, from all walks of life, representing the beer industry, showing up and united by our love for beer. Getting the conversations started was not too hard, these women are confident and love all things beer! I’m yet to get over the intrigue of the brewing process; the incredible journey of the grain through the brewing house and ultimately into the glass. This campaign shows that girls can and already are do it all in the industry.
