Eros Florist used to be a small stand alone shop in the centre of the lawns of Hatfield Galleries, were the bees had made there home with all the flowers, it was a winner for both as we had our own honey on tap.
One of Ken’s passions is photography therefore all the floral designs are designed and photographed in house; We are able to photograph and have the items available with very little fuss.

In 1988 Eros expanded by opening a second store in the Hatfield Plaza were we still occupy a well established florist for the students and business alike.

The rest we can say is history as Beatrice started to take to arranging flowers and plants. Beatrice started to buy flowers at the Pretoria fresh produce market back in 1982, doing away with a flower agent. This set Eros Florist as a leader and the start of 2 outlets in Hatfield Pretoria. She has also served on numerous committees as well as headed others. On a continual basis they offer training to our Interflora Members and their staff. This has provided Beatrice with the background to constantly train and educate the staff at Eros Florist. A National Interflora Judge, was the next step, which means that one has to keep oneself updated with the latest International trends in the floral Industry, as a national judge, judging floral designers at a very competition level can be both rewarding and taxing. Beatrice has endeavour to learn new skills from Floral Masters from Europe. Gregor Lersch and Wally Klett have been both an inspiration and motivation to share with interesting parties within Africa. Interflora African Areas is a non-profit organization. Interflora produces a product guide, which offers a variety of arrangements for customers to look at and make a choice. Together with the product guide are guidelines for the florist make up the selection. This is a project that Eros Florist and 2 staff members were involved in.
