The IIE has several systems and processes which are driven centrally by our Central Academic Team which is responsible for the academic governance and quality assurance of all programmes delivered through the campuses of all its educational brands, including Rosebank College. The IIE is not only accredited in South Africa but its dedication to providing quality education also led to it being accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), an internationally recognised quality assurance agency. For these reasons you will be given opportunities to apply your learning to real world scenarios and you will be given opportunities to develop your capacity as a global citizen. Working with the lecturers and the teams on campus the CAT is responsible for the development of the curriculum, overseeing the delivery of that curriculum in the lecture rooms and through meticulous attention to the quality and security of assessment and certification the team ensures that your qualification is of the highest possible standard. In line with the way this is done internationally in Higher Education, The IIE has a Senate which oversees the quality and governance of all that we do and sets policies for everything from assessment to the way that the libraries offer you services. The Senate is made up of academics and others from all the brands and the Central Academic Team so the best skills and resources are pooled to ensure leading policies are applied to your study. The continual monitoring and improving of quality is of great importance to The IIE. For this reason we have several quality assurance processes which include evidence driven reviews of our programmes, lecturer peer reviews, student success tracking and intervention programmes for students needing assistance. In addition we participate in the external reviews of bodies such as the BAC and HEQC.
