Rosemary Hill’s distinctive attention to detail provide a stylish event in farm-style surroundings. It is the perfect mid-week getaway and also ideal for a secluded conference. Our farm shop is now fully under way, offering products containing ingredients harvested on our farm. Hand soap, hand and body lotion, air freshener, linen mist and anti-mosquito sprays contain our essential oils such as rosemary, artemisia and mint. Geranium, lavender and aloe vera is from reputable sources. The truly old fashioned recipes are straight from grandma's recipe books, following her meticulous instructions, exactly as she used to bake! These superior quality products are now shipped throughout South Africa through our on-line shop. The single-track trails are custom-made, very well maintained and include an occasional jeep track for overtaking. The trails meander through the farm, passing through the rosemary fields, the casuarina and bluegum woods, encircling some of the farm dams, and even enters some old ruins that invite exploring! (RH is a working farm so watch out for animals, tractors and other farm machinery!) Need to get out into the country and enjoy some fresh air? We kindly ask for your car keys as deposit and it will be returned when we received our rental bike back from you (in one piece!). Aspiring future champions bring their own bikes, including those with training wheels, and enjoy the day out in nature! Entrance is free for children up to six years old and all children must be accompanied by a parent. Delicious cappuccino, hearty home-made breakfasts & freshly baked cakes await you upon your return. A unique play area featuring our amazing living art karee-wood climbing frames, undercover sandpit with a toy box and jungle gym made from recycled plastic will keep the children busy while mom & dad enjoy a lovely meal in peace. This clip is the result of Mighty Fine’s shooters scrambling around the steep inclines of Stokeville, doing their best to capture enduro rider (and master trail builder) Heinrich Hattingh’s skills. Heinrich is featured in the clip on this exciting part of the trail that he designed and built for us. Throwback to a dusty winter shoot with the guys from Bike Life who did a cool feature on the trails, while also giving a bit of background about other goings-on at Rosemary Hill. They even helped us get a batch of kakibos ready for oil extraction! While every reasonable effort is made to ensure your safety, the trails are used entirely at your own risk.
