Independent of OEM’s and with the technical knowledge to provide solutions to any emergency. Our dedicated field service teams are situated nearby to be available 24/7 for emergency breakdowns and planned shut-down maintenance. All services are available through service level agreements and/or long term contracts as well as on an ad-hoc basis. Maintenance contracts are advisable in order to ensure the smooth operation of your plant with our planned preventative maintenance solutions. We also provide reports from audits performed on medium voltage networks to coordinate a planned maintenance schedule. The 2500 m² facility includes an engineering department, test bay, sheet metal workshop and stores to ensure the following services are delivered to our customers on time. At WPI we have the capability to design and manufacture a customised solution offering to meet the customer’s specific needs. WPI offers partial or complete reconditioning of aging OEM equipment in order to prolong the life of switchgear, transformers or mini-substations. Refurbishment work can take place in the field or at the WPI factory or regional business unit workshop. Test for proper mechanical and electrical operation of circuit breakers. Detailed incoming inspection report documenting all test results, observations, findings and recommendations. WPI has a dedicated Project Management division managing medium and large projects. Our CIDB rating of 8EP means we have the capacity and capability to handle turnkey projects in excess of R 50 million Rands. Projects may include greenfield or existing indoor and outdoor substation design, building and commissioning in Southern Africa, the rest of Africa and the world. Manufacture of mini-substations for municipal and renewable projects. Our project team manages all projects to the primary constraints of the scope of work stipulated by the customer. In addition time constraints are adhered to, to the best of our ability whilst at all times communicating closely with the client. Budget requirements are adhered to, to ensure that projects remain on budget. When a project has been completed, a full analysis of its profitability can be produced and reviewed. The secondary and more ambitious part is that our WPI Project team challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and integrate them to meet pre-defined objectives and go beyond the expectations of our clients and the industry as a whole.
